How To Control Your Device with Voice Using Google Voice Access

How To Control Your Device with Voice Using Google Voice Access

Google Voice Access is a new application by google that lets you control your device using your Voice. You can get full control of your device just using your voice. The app is designed to help disabled users who can’t hold their phones but are able to speak to use their devices. Though the application is still in beta stage, you can still check it out.

The voice search feature has been available via Googe app, but it only deals with basic commands like making a web search, sending an Email, making a phone call, switching on/off WiFi/Bluetooth and other similar tasks. Google aims to provide fully hands-free usage of  your Android device via Voice Access. With Voice Access, you can use commands like scroll left, tap next, go home. Also, it labels icons/buttons with numbers so you can speak the number to perform the action associated with that icon/button.
Unfortunately, Google is not accepting any more testers for the Beta program as the list is already full. But you can try out the application by downloading the APK file from the link given below and then installing it on your Android device.

voice-access-2.jpg (300×533)voice-access-1.jpg (300×533)

As you can see in the screenshots above each icon is labelled on the home screen and even on the keyboard each letter is labelled with the number. With the help of voice access, you can just speak the number of the action you want to perform. For example, if I would speak the number 15 and Voice Access will automatically open camera application for me (see the last screenshot). I can even say type Hello World when the keyboard is active to type the message.
On testing the application I found it a great alternative for controlling your device when your hands are busy or for a disabled person.  My voice was recognized more often than not and the commands were executed accordingly. You might face a lag or a force close while using Voice Access as the development is still at Beta stage. But still it is worth giving a shot if you would like to get hands free experience with your Android device.

Download Voice Access Beta

You may even download the Voice Access application via XdaLabs application. For that, you need to Sign In into XdaLabs application using a Xda account or Google Plus account. Then go into App section then search for Voice Access. Tap on the Download button  to begin downloading the application and then install it on your device. You can download XdaLabs application from here.
Do let us know what do you feel about this new application by Google. Also, tell us whether it would be a useful application to have on your device.

How To Easily Access WiFi Mobile Data Bluetooth GPS Like Toggles Setting Screen in Samsung Stock ROMS

How To Easily Access WiFi Mobile Data Bluetooth GPS Like Toggles Setting Screen in Samsung Stock ROMS

Samsungs Touchwiz UI has many Notification Toggles which help us to easily enable disable frequently using options like WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, GPS, Screen Rotation etc. These toggle buttons are very handy as it needed just a single tap to disable or enable the favorite option. In this post I included another handy feature of Notification toggle which helps to easily access the toggle options setting screen.

For example if we want to receive files via Bluetooth we need to change the visibility settings if the device not paired. In this case, we can access the Bluetooth visibility settings by long pressing the Bluetooth toggle button. The feature may familiar to many Samsung users. But still its worth writing here if its helpful for any new user.

This feature is tested on TouchWiz Nature UX version dont know if its available in older TouchWiz version.

Method:
Long Press on the corresponding Toggle to access the settings screen.

How To Root Access Full Jailbreak Nokia Microsoft Lumia Windows Phone

How To Root Access Full Jailbreak Nokia Microsoft Lumia Windows Phone

How To Root Access And Full Jailbreak Nokia/ Microsoft Lumia Working Software Released

I am proud to announce the immediate availability of Windows Phone Internals 1.0. This tool allows you to unlock the bootloader of selected Lumia Windows Phone models. After unlocking the bootloader, you can enable Root Access on the phone or create and flash Custom ROMs. I created two videos to demonstrate the features of the tool.

Root Access allows you to load your own homebrew software onto the phone with high privileges. Apps can escape from their sandboxes. The tool can also create backup-images of the phone and access the file-system in Mass Storage mode. The tool supports most versions of Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile. For a complete list of supported phones and Operating Systems have a look at the Getting Started section of the tool.

The download package also contains an SDK, which helps you to easily access the filesystem and registry on the phone from your own homebrew app.

The tool, SDK and videos are available on my new website:

WP internals

I will add more details in this thread soon.

Be careful and have fun!

I will already answer the question in everybodys mind...

WILL THIS SIM UNLOCK MY PHONE?

ANSWER: NO

This is JAILBREAK + TOTAL ROOT ACCESS... Just like iOS or Android, Jailbreak or ROOT ACCESS does not Sim UNLOCK the Phone.

Direct Quote from AUTHORs WESITE:
============================================
Nokia/ Microsoft Lumia ROOT ACCESS FULL JAILBREAK Released

I am posting this news on behalf of the the wp internals author who has
requested me to announce the release of this FREE TOOL for this forum.

You can also post questions about how to use the software here.

Making a sim unlock solution via FLASH PATCHING is easier than Protecting the Solution against wide eyed copy-pasters.

We have been working on it since 2013, but decided it was too easy to copy paste. So there is no point of releasing if the hard work will not pay for itself.

Now that this WP Internals is released, it will open doors to other individuals who will be interested to hack Lumia phones even deeper... maybe patching the Sim lock along the way... and even putting Dual OS Android + WP 8.1 in one phone!

How to Access Your PC Hard Drive from Android Devices

How to Access Your PC Hard Drive from Android Devices

In many instances, I’ve found that to transfer a file from my computer to my Android device is a lot of pain. Something then struck to my mind, and that was why I didn’t directly share the files from my computer’s hard drive onto my Android device? I knew it was as easy as creating a shared network and then accessing it on my Android device. The process, however, is a little tiresome. I had to proceed with caution since enabling sharing can be a threat to your own files and folders. In this quick little guide, we’ll be taking a look on how you can easily share folders and files from your computer’s hard disk to your Android device.
For this, you need to enable folder sharing from the various options available in Windows. Moreover, you need a file explorer for Android which can surf through your remotely connected files and folders. We’ll be using the most reliable option, which is ES File Explorer. Once you have these two thoughts in your mind, feel free to proceed with the steps given below.

Access Your PC Hard Drive From Android Devices

  1. You need to select the folder you want to allow sharing of. Once selected, right-click on it, and click on ‘Properties‘. From there, select the ‘Sharing‘ tab.
  2. From the drop-down list, select ‘Everyone‘, since you need easy sharing of your files. If you want to be more cautious, then you can restrict access to just read or read/write.Sharing-folder-from-PC-on-Android
  3. Once you’re done with it, you will get a confirmation with a LAN address and folder path. Keep that it mind, and proceed.
  4. On your Android device with ES File Explorer installed, swipe to the right, and click on the ‘+‘ button, then select the option which reads ‘LAN‘.
  5. In this step, it’ll ask you to enter a server name, which is the file path you have copied down earlier. ES-File-explorer-server-settings
  6. Once you’re done, you will now be able to see the various files and folders you’ve had on your computer directly from your Android device.
