GNOME Software Update That Fixes Installing Third Party Deb Files Lands In Ubuntu 16 04 Proposed Repository
GNOME Software Update That Fixes Installing Third Party Deb Files Lands In Ubuntu 16 04 Proposed Repository
A GNOME Software update that fixes the issue with installing third-party deb files was pushed to the Ubuntu 16.04 Proposed repository a few minutes ago.

Ubuntu 16.04 shipped with a pretty nasty bug (see here and here): GNOME Software (rebranded as Ubuntu Software in Ubuntu with Unity) doesnt allow installing third-party deb files, like Google Chrome, Google Talk Plugin, the Mega client and so on.
A fix for this has been pushed to the Ubuntu 16.04 Proposed repository and will be promoted into the main repositories once its tested.
- support for apt:// URLs;
- increased the number of displayed reviews from 10 to 30;
- GNOME Software now displays version and size information for non-installed applications;
- enabled the Snappy backend.
Those interested in testing the latest GNOME Software from the Proposed repository should see THIS page. Note that the Proposed repository is for testing purposes only and may introduce instability! Also, the option to enable the Proposed repository was moved to the "Developer Options" tab in Software & Updates in the latest Ubuntu 16.04.
Until the update is available in the main repositories, you can use GDebi GTK (or dpkg via command line) to install deb files. Check out our Things To Do After Installing Ubuntu 16.04 article for how to install and set GDebi GTK to open deb files, along with other tweaks.

How to Burn CD DVD in Windows 10 without Any 3rd Party Software
How to Burn CD DVD in Windows 10 without Any 3rd Party Software
In this tutorial you will learn how to burn a CD or DVD in Windows 10 without any 3rd party Software. We will use Windows 10 pro version for demonstration.
If youre using Windows 8.1 or Windows 10, you wont need any third party software to burn your CD or DVD. You can Use windows Default CD/DVD Burning Feature & its awesome.Simple & does the job perfectly.
Procedure -
Step 1. If you have a perfectly working CD/DVD writer & a blank disk, do the following.
insert your blank CD or DVD into the media drive. The quality of a burned CD or DVD depends on several things: the brand of CD or DVD, the brand of media drive and the size of data you need to write on CD or DVD (the longer is the writing process, the longer the disc is exposed to a possible error).
Step 2. From the desktop screen, open File Explorer.
Step 3.Your empty DVD or CD should be seen under "Devices and drives". Double-click it.
Step 4. Youll see a "Burn a Disc" box appearing. Type in a name of your CD or DVD in the "Disc title" field and, from the CD/DVD usage options, choose "With a CD/DVD player". Click "Next".
Step 5. Add the contents to your future CD or DVD. Copy the contents from their folder and paste them into blank CD/DVD window or simply drag the contents there.
Step 6. Right-click the white area of the window. From the displayed context menu, click "Burn to Disc".
Step 7. In the "Burn to Disc" box, select the desired recording speed. Usually, the slower is the burning speed; the better is the quality of data writing on CD or DVD.
Step 8. Click "Next" to start burning your CD or DVD. The writing process can take from several minutes to half an hour, depending on the speed of the media drive, and current data quality & format.
Step 9. When your CD or DVD is ready, you can take it out. Check your CD or DVD by opening it on your computer.
Note- DVDs Created using this procedure are Data DVDs. It will work in all types of computers and most of the new generation DVD players.But not all DVD players could run this.In that case you need to create a Video DVD using a 3rd party softwares like power2Go,nero etc.Please check the format of the disks supported by your DVD player.

Install Third Party Apps on Android TV

Installing third party apps on Android TV is a simple process. The only additional steps you will have to take are downloading APKs and tapping on install. But before that, you will have to get a File Manager.
Android TV does not come with a file manager out of the box. Google has, for some reason, never released a stock file manager for Android. However, there are many free third party File Managers in the Play Store compatible with Android TV. One of the most popular ones is ES File Explorer its free and supports Samba file sharing and FTP protocols. Solid Explorer is another File Manager you can try its paid but works great and has an excellent UI.
Enable Installation from Unknown Sources
Like all other Android devices, installation from Unknown Sources is disabled by default. To be able to manually install apps on your Android TV, you will have to enable it first. Go to Settings -> Security and Restrictions and scroll down to the Unknown Sources option. Tap on the checkbox to enable it.
Download the APK
Many sites like APKMirror host many Android app APKs. For safety, we recommend using APKMirror only.
Transfer the APK
You can transfer the APK to your Android TV using a memory card or a pen drive. Transfer the APKs to your memory card or pen drive and connect it to your Android TV. Using the file manager downloaded above to copy those APKs to your TV.
